Privacy
Tech Echo stores the minimum account data needed for membership: your stable GitHub identity, current profile details, Member Number, role, language preference, secure session records, and encrypted GitHub App credentials. During Join confirmation, verified identity and credential details are encrypted, become unusable after 30 minutes, and are removed after use or during cleanup. Your display name, Member Number, GitHub username, global role, and join date appear in the authenticated member directory. Public GitHub contributor metadata is normally refreshed every six hours, may be served stale during an outage, is never served after 48 hours, and is removed during the next cache cleanup. For recovery, the permanent Member Number ledger, member profiles, and already encrypted GitHub App credentials are copied daily into an additional AES-256-GCM-encrypted GitHub Actions artifact retained for up to 90 days; temporary authentication state and forum content are excluded. Forum content remains in GitHub Discussions. We do not create Tech Echo passwords or sell member data.
